Intro to Permaculture Design
Tuesday May 28th | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm | $10
Permaculture (permanent agri-culture) is a pattern based design methodology which uses the natural world as a model for design. Easily applied to gardening, farming and landscape design, it identifies and facilitates beneficial connections within a system to maximize function. As an introduction to Permaculture, this workshop will outline ethics, guiding principles and present real world examples of Permaculture in action.
Josh Metten is an experiential educator and permaculturalist with a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University. His experience includes field education training from the Teton Science Schools and a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Lyons Farmette. In addition to teaching after school programs for Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, he is a private edible landscape and Permaculture Design consultant and Farmers Market Manager for The Aspens Market.
