Bring your family or housemates to this workshop on worm composting and leave with your very own worm bin! Each household will construct and learn to care for a worm bin that will compost vegetable food scraps into high quality worm compost. The workshop consists of Vermiculture overview and presentation and a hands-on workshop. Each household will construct a bin to take home. Adults must accompany children to this workshop.
Josh Metten is an experiential educator and permaculturalist with a B.S. in Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University. His experience includes field education training from the Teton Science Schools and a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Lyons Farmette. In addition to teaching after school programs for Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, he is a private edible landscape and Permaculture Design consultant and Farmers Market Manager for The Aspens Market.
The fee for this class is $40 per family or household (one bin per family/household. The class fee includes all supplies.
