May 7, 2016 - Jackson Hole Spring Runoff

Join Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department and St. John’s Medical Center for the season opener for running and walking events in Jackson Hole! The St. John’s Community Health Fair takes place at the Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center the same day.


May 15, 2015 - Ultimate Towner Obstacle Course Race

The Ultimate Towner Obstacle Course Race is an all ages event with fast and fun classes. This 4 mile “around the town” event features 25 fun and challenging obstacles at our local Jackson Parks. Wall climbs, mud crawls, and mystery obstacles will challenge individuals and teams throughout this scenic Jackson course.  Test your limits by going FAST in an early start wave or focus on the FUN and have a blast with friends!  Costumes are highly encouraged!!  This event benefits the Jackson Hole Senior Center.

June 5, 2016 - Run and Ride for the Cure

17th annual event! Enjoy a great race and help support the local Cancer Patients’ Support Fund via the St. John’s Medical Center Foundation. Events for individuals, teams of two and kids! All proceeds support this important cause.

June 11, 2016 - Jackson Hole Half Marathon & 5K

The Jackson Hole Half Marathon is locally owned by two women who love to run. It is mostly downhill and you can run or walk it. We will even let you start one hour early if you want extra time. The Half Marathon starts out on the bike path about a ½ mile south of Teton Village. You can stay out at the village or stay in town. If you stay out at the village, you will have to get a ride back to the village. You can use the START bus. We will transport you, the bus leaves at 6 am and 7 am. The Half Marathon starts at 8 am at Teton Village. The 5K starts at 8 am at Phil Baux Park. We have music and food at the finish line.


June 18, 2016 - Shirley's Heart Run

Shirley’s Heart Run is a popular community fun run that supports the cardiology fund at St. John’s Medical Foundation. The money raised at the event is directed to heart-related programs, medical equipment and cardiology patients.


June 25, 2016 - Wrun for Wray (Grand Targhee Hill Climb)

The Wrun for Wray is the annual Grand Targhee Hill-climb benefiting the Teton Regional Land Trust. The roughly 3 mile uphill run starts at the base of the Dreamcatcher chairlift and climbs 1840' to the top of Fred's Mountain. Following the single-track Bannock Trail, (or the Teton Vista Traverse if snow pack is an issue on the trail), the course will feature a water station at roughly 1 mile and at the finish line.

June 25, 2016 - June 26, 2016 - Teton Ogre Adventure Race

The 2016 Teton Ogre will offer 8 or 24 hours of non-stop exploration and adventure in and around beautiful Teton Valley, Idaho. This multi-sport navigation race will not only test your limits but will highlight some of the best terrain this area has to offer. The 8-hour race includes running and mountain biking, and the 24-hour race includes running, mountain biking and paddling. Please visit our website or email us for more information.

July 2, 2016 - 19th Annual Big Hole Challenge & Duathalon

Race day registration and packet pickup 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at South Horseshoe trailhead. Advance sign up is $30; available though 6 PM, June 29th online at Athlete360.com or at Peaked Sports; race day sign up is $40. Net proceeds benefit Teton Valley Trails and Pathways. Mountain bike mass start first, at 10 AM, 9.7 miles, then either bike a second lap or run 6 miles. Awards, Raffle and results 1 PM at the South Horseshoe Trail Head. Awards to overall 1st male, 1st female, 1st male team, 1st female team, 1st mixed team.


July 4, 2016 - 4th of July 10K

36th Annual 4th of July 10K helps support Friends of Pathways.  New start time:  8:00 am! Beautiful out and back course along Fish Creek in Wilson.  Start your 4th with this great event!


July 9, 2016 - Star Valley Half Marathon

The race begins at the top of Grover Park in the beautifulBridger National Forest, with a gentle descent through the farmlands of Turnerville, Bedford and Thayne.  We welcome all levels of participation from walkers to novice runners to experienced runners. With gorgeous scenery, cool temperatures, and a 'coming home' feeling, you won't want to miss this event!

July 16, 2016 - 9th Annual Tin Cup Challenge

The 9th Annual Tin Cup Challenge will be fun for the whole family, offering a 5K Fun Run/Walk along with 5K and 10K competitive races for all ages. Beginning at 8:30 AM (races beginning at 9:00 AM), the Tin Cup Challenge is a great opportunity to gather with friends, family and neighbors to support Teton Valley nonprofits. All participants will receive a commemorative Tin Cup Challenge t-shirt and youth, ages 12 and under may participate in any category for FREE!

July 23, 2016 - 48th Annual Snow King Hill Climb

Join Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department for the 47th Annual Snow King Hill Climb Race. The 2.3 mile course gains 1,571’ as it travels from the Jackson Town Square to the summit of Snow King Mountain. Post race awards and celebration takes place at Phil Baux Park.



August 6, 2016 - Rendezvous Mountain Hill Climb

The most demanding hill climb running event in the West!  A little over 4100' vertical in just 6.1 miles, on nearly all singletrack!  Held annually on the 1st Saturday in August, this race is run in honor of longtime JHMR Aerial Tram mechanic Chris Onufer, who tragically passed away in an avalanche in 2012.  This non-profit race donates 100% of proceeds to the Jackson high school cross country teams.


August 13, 2016 - Running Wild, Dick Jennings Memorial Run

This is a family fun run with proceeds from the event fund a high school art award in memory of past-Trustee, Dick Jennings.

August 19-20, 2016 - Grand Teton Relay

The Grand Teton Relay is an overnight running relay for teams of 6 or 12 runners. This 180 mile course is spectacular running through Island Park, Grand Targhee and over Teton pass finishing at Teton Village. Adventure is guaranteed with terrain to fit runners from beginning to expert. Runners receive unique race t’s, amazing finisher medals, race support at every turn and a weekend of memories to last a lifetime. Founded in 2011, the GTRelay hosts teams from over 30 states and continues to grow each year. Join the Tribe.

September 3, 2016 - Jackson Hole Marathon Events

A scenic point to point event that finishes in Teton Village, with the full marathon starting at the Town Square in downtown Jackson, WY and the Hole Half Marathon starting at the halfway point of the marathon.


September 10, 2016 - Old Bill's Fun Run For Charities

Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities is the most innovative fundraiser in the world. Over the past eighteen years, the event has helped local charities raise over $121 million. Those dollars have helped house homeless pets, feed the hungry, teach our children and protect Jackson's natural beauty. September 11, 2016 - Tri the West

It’s a TRIATHLON FESTIVAL DAY. 9:00 am start. Swim in a heated pool. RFID CHIP TIMED. Run to bike transition. Bike has steady, easy hill climb and flat expanses on the biked path and paved road. Spectacular views of the Tetons. Finish with a Run/3.1 miles. Finish NORTH PARK. Walking distance back to car. Finisher medals, event shirts, division awards and FOOD, FUN, and buddy tri moments

September 17, 2016 - 11th Annual TVTAP Horseshoe Challenge Running Race

This is a great friendly race and we encourage all skill levels to participate. The 20K is almost all single track except for the start which is roughly 1/3 mile on asphalt leading to a dirt 2 track. The 11.7 ends on that 1/3 mile of asphalt, but otherwise is half on 2 track dirt road and half on single track trail. Both courses afford the racers with some beautiful vistas and natural terrain. This race is a fundraiser for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways and all proceeds go directly to serve our mission of a Trails and Pathways connected community.


November 24, 2016 - 24rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

Start your Thanksgiving Day celebration with the annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Race! A Jackson tradition for 23 years, the 5K offers categories for walkers and runners.
