Street Art: Artists like Banksy have shed new light on street art, which is now respected as a "real" art form that makes a political or social statement. Work in 3D and 2D with public art installation in mind when you create expressive individual and group masterpieces. Repurpose materials into sculptures and paint, collage and draw on abnormally large scale!
Photography: Create imagery and learn the different aspects of photography: principles of single-lens reflex (SLR) camera apertures and shutter speeds, light and composition, portraiture, and camera equipment while shooting outside and in the studio. Learn how to use Photoshop to perfect your photos while working with professional photographer Amy Baker. A showcase of your photography will be held at the end of the session. Please bring digital camera if possible.
Yoga Club: Explore and discover the mind-body connection in this fun yoga class. Basic poses and stretching help promote strength, flexibility, and coordination. While breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus and stimulates imagination. Please bring comfy clothes for this class.
Delectable Desserts: Come and indulge your sweet tooth while learning classic culinary skills. We will be baking some of your favorite desserts such as strawberry shortcake, lemon meringue pie, chocolate soufflé and some of your favorite recipes.
Urbanastics/Big Air: Based upon parkour, Urbanastics classes enhance your ability to move, with an emphasis on running, jumping and climbing to efficiently navigate obstacles in our environment using complex movement. The Big Air program is especially designed for skiers, boarders and skaters 5 to 18 years old. The curriculum focuses on trampoline and tumbling instruction designed to enhance core strength, air awareness and self-confidence while learning the proper technique for flipping and twisting.
